![]() Eventually, Kulea fell pregnant and things went very south very fast. Kulea and the king did truly fall in love, and were as happy as a couple can be when they’re relegated to sneaking about. They did not love each other as partners, and both sought romantic and physical affection anywhere but each other. but it was so flattering, and it was hardly hurting anyone: the king and queen were the farthest thing you could get from a romantic couple. Kulea knew that it wasn’t particularly noble of her to return his affections. It was this charm that caught the attention of the king. She knew she was no looker, and hardly the most talented or impressive lioness, so she funneled her energy into creating a witty sense of humor for herself, so she would not be entirely invisible to her peers. The full story in which she fills this archetype is here Kulea was always a very awkward, insecure lioness. ![]() Vitani was the lucky one of the litter, being saved in time along with Kovu. They did seem to be surviving, however, and it was not until the fire at Pride Rock that they died, due to smoke inhalation. Vitani was a runt, Ushindi (black mane tuft) and Damu (middle cub) were very weak and did not eat well, and Uvumilivu was quite deformed. Zira and Scar had several stillbirths before Nuka survived, and their second surviving litter-Vitani’s litter-was not healthy. She and her parents escaped having physical health problems, but most of her cubs were not so lucky. Scar’s Child: (This one is rather depressing, but they are genuinely my only Scar’s-kids-OCs, so.) Zira’s genes were not the best, due to her family having a history of, eh, electing not to mix with the commoners. ![]() My second attempt at one of these memes, this time ’s version, which you can find here ![]()
